Ooty chopper crash: Ambulances carrying victims meet with minor accident

COIMBATORE: Two ambulances carrying the mortal remains of IAF chopper crash victims met with a minor accident near Mettupalayam in Tamil Nadu on Thursday.
The accident happened when the bodies of 13 victims, including Chief of the Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, were being transported to Sulur airbase from the MRC Barracks square in the Nilgiris in a convoy.
An ambulance hit the ambulance moving in front of it. As the ambulance that hit the one in front of it could not be operated after the accident, the body of the crash victim in it was shifted to another ambulance immediately.

Earlier, a police vehicle attached to the Tirupur district armed police met with an accident. Cops who were travelling in the police vehicle suffered minor injuries.
