Minister orders action against Erode govt hospital doctor, nurse and cook

ERODE: Health minister Ma Subramanian directed health department officials to initiate action against a duty doctor, a staff nurse, and a cook who were absent when he inspected at Kodumudi Government Hospital in Erode district on Thursday morning.He said the doctor would face departmental action while the nurse and the cook would be reassigned to other hospitals. The minister interacted with the patients regarding the treatment they were receiving in hospital. He discussed the hospital's needs with both the public and staff members.Earlier, the minister walked 18 km from the guest house at Pugalur in Karur district to Kodumudi Government Hospital. He was in Karur district on Wednesday to attend DMK's 'Muperum Vizha.'
