Horticulture dept begins vegetable seeds sale in Coimbatore for home gardening
COIMBATORE: The horticulture department is selling a range of vegetable seeds suitable for home gardening and terrace gardening at its office on the Lawley Road in Coimbatore.
The sale is being done at present since the ongoing Tamil month Aadi is a suitable time for raising plants, said deputy director of horticulture, Coimbatore district, Buvaneshwari.
Seeds are available for vegetables such as different varieties of ladies finger, bottle gourd, ridge gourd, tomato, cucumber, pumpkin, purple beans, brinjal, radish and roselle. Each pack has been priced at only Rs 20.
