Coimbatore’s Chadivayal elephant camp gets its four occupant
Coimbatore: Chadivayal Elephant Camp has a new occupant with Sumangala, an adult female elephant, being relocated to the camp on Monday night. The elephant was originally rescued as an orphaned calf in 1988 from the Tirupathur forest division. Forest officials said the elephant is in good health and has adapted well to the new environment. With this, the number of elephants in the recently inaugurated camp has gone up to four.
