Class 10 boy hangs himself at home

COIMBATORE: A Class 10 student committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence at Nadar Street near Kempatti Colony here on Monday evening.
The deceased was identified as S Sanjai Ram, 16, studying in Chinmaya Vidhayalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School at RS Puram. His father Sivakumar runs a tiffin stall.
On Monday evening, he told his mother that he would study in his room and locked it from inside.Sanjai’s mother opened the window of the room and found him hanging from the ceiling by a rope.
The neighbours broke open the door and took him to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) where doctors declared him dead. The Big Bazaar Street police registered a case. The reason for the suicide is not known and further investigations are on.
