Annamalai calls upon BJP cadres to ‘work harder’
Erode: TN BJP president K Annamalai called upon people to defeat the “anti-development and corrupt alliance” of DMK-Congress in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Addressing a public meeting in Erode on Sunday, Annamalai said the Lok Sabha elections would be an ideological battle between BJP and its allies on one side and the DMK on the other side. “We are confident the ideology of BJP and our allies will win,” he said.He called upon the BJP cadres to work hard for the BJP alliance to win more seats in the polls. Taking a dig at non-BJP parties that met at Patna recently to devise a strategy against the BJP, Annamalai alleged these parties ruined India before 2014 when BJP assumed office. Batting for uniform civil code (UCC), Annamalai said the opposition parties are attempting to demonize UCC and spark fear that its implementation would be detrimental to sections of the society. “There is no doubt PM Narendra Modi would implement it,” he said. Modi was raising India’s stature across the world. All the countries are looking at a new India. He has been given an unprecedented honour in the US, he said. TNN
