Alagiri, Vaiko join poll workers meeting

Erode: Leaders of DMK’s alliance parties, including Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K S Alagiri and MDMK leader Vaiko, joined the election workers meeting held in Erode East constituency on Wednesday. Tamil Nadu housing and urban development minister S Muthusamy and municipal administration minister KN Nehru were present on behalf of the DMK. While Alagiri and Vaiko urged their cadres to campaign hard for the success in the byelection, Congress candidate EVKS Elangovan expressed hope that chief minister M K Stalin's achievements, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s yatra and his son Evera Thirumahan’s good will would help him win the election. tnn
