CHENNAI: BJP’s victory in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections shows the need for unity among all secular parties in the country, DMK working president M K Stalin said on Monday. He said the results won’t the

Tamil Nadu.
"I congratulate the BJP for its victories in the two states. But the results show that there is need for unity among secular parties," Stalin told reporters at party headquarters here.
"The victories in Gujarat and Himachal will not help the BJP in Tamil Nadu.
It is only sister Tamilisai Soundarajan's (BJP state chief) wish to have a BJP government in Tamil Nadu," said Stalin.
RK Nagar byelectionStalin accused the Election Commission of closing its eyes on complaints on police vehicles being used to distribute money in RK Nagar where a byelection will be held on December 21.
"We have complained to the EC that independent candidate T T V Dhinakaran and AIADMK candidate E Madhusudhanan were distributing money to voters in RK Nagar. We hope that the Election Commission will take action," said Stalin.
