The police arrested Murugan and the party cadre.

Earlier, the Chennai city police stopped around 100 BJP workers who tried to proceed from the city to Tiruttani in separate vehicles to participate in party’s Vetrivel Yatra.

In the morning, Murugan told reporters that the party was taking out the Vetrivel Yatra as scheduled as Lord Murugan had granted “permission” for it.

The AIADMK Government is equally worried like DMK about BJP consolidating Hindu votes. The Dravidan parties have made it an unspoken rule to invariably throw insult on Hindu Gods and their customs and use derogative ,damaging and dirty words to criticise the Epics and poems of Hindu Gods. One alliance party leader has gone to the extent of calling all Hindu women prostitutes as per Manu Dharma .I do not know Manu Dharma, but those who have read it says that it generalise all women, not singling out only Hindu women. But this party leader added his own contribution that all Hindu women. What was the need to spit out such derogative sentences ? It is only to hurt the feelings of Hindus to corner the votes of other religions. This person got elected from Chidambaram M.P. constituency where famous Lord Shiv temple is situated. Can he go to that constituency and utter such word in front of those women , mostly Hindus, who voted him to occupy the M.P. seat ? There has to be some God Father who voices for the Hindus. Last 50 years and more, the Hindus in TamilNadu had been hearing all such nonsense loose talks. It is now time for someone to tie the bell. The patience has crossed its limit. Murugan is doing the correct thing. We all support him.But I am afraid that the opposition parties would definitely create unrest and try to meddle with the peaceful yatra into voilence and end it in the same fashion as the shooting incident in Thuthukkudi in Sterlite agitation, which was peaceful for 99 days and last day ended in violence and Police resorting to shooting.
