CHENNAI: The Avadi police gunned down two history-sheeters in Sholavaram in the early hours of Thursday.
The duo, identified as Muthu Saravanan and Sunday Sathish, were killed around 3.30am, during an encounter when they attacked the police, who tried to nab them.
They were accomplices of history-sheeter Bomb Saravanan.

Parthiban was on his morning stroll on a temple ground in Padianallur when a four-member gang murdered him on August 17.
The police managed to surround the rowdies in a dilapidated building in Marapedu Kandigai when the two attacked three cops. In retaliation, the police shot at them. They were rushed to Government Stanley Hospital in Chennai where both were declared dead on arrival.
Muthu was a A plus category rowdy, who had more than 13 cases registered against him including six murder cases, while Sathish was involved in five criminal cases.
