Transport secretary replaced in reshuffle

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday transferred 22

IAS officers

both at junior and

senior level.

State transport secretary Chandrakant B Kamble has been transferred to Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation (Tufidco) as its chairman and managing director .

The serving chairman, P W C Davidar, is the new transport secretary. Kamble has been transferred during talks between the government and transport unions on wages and pensions.

Additional chief secretary and commissioner of Indian medicine and homoeopathy is the new land commissioner in place of incumbent K Rajaraman who has been deputed to the Centre. Ariyalur collector E Saravanavelraj is the new joint secretary, education department.

Commissioner of fisheries Beela Rajesh has been shifted and posted as commissioner of town and country planning in place of Shambhu Kallolikar who was holding additional charge. Ponneri sub-collector V P Thandapani has replaced Beela Rajesh.

TWAD Board MD Dheeraj Kumar has been posted as secretary youth welfare and sports development in place of Rajendra Kumar,who has been posted as Elcot chairman and MD.

TWAD board joint MD V Jaya Chandra Bhanu Reddy has been posted as deputy secretary health department in place of M Arathi who is on leave. Additional registrar of cooperatives T Anand replaces Reddy. Director of social security schemes C N Maheswaran is the new TWAD Board managing director.

is the new additional registrar of cooperatives. Chennai Corporation deputy commissioner (education) Mantri Govinda Rao and deputy commissioner (works) K S Kandasamy have swapped their places.

Trichy collector K S Palanisamy has been posted as Tirupur collector in place of S Jayandhi. Jayandhi has been posted as joint commissioner (land administration) in place of S Suresh Kumar who will be the new collector of Nagapattinam district. Nagapattinam collector S Palanisamy is the new deputy secretary animal husbandry in place of P Senthil Kumar.

Tuticorin corporation commissioner K Rajamani is the new Trichy collector and Devakottai sub-collector Alby John Varghese has been appointed in place of Rajamani.

Tuticorin collector M Ravikumar has been posted as director of survey and settlement department in place of Jatindra Nath Swain, now deputed to the Centre. Finance deputy secretary N Venkatesh is the new Tuticorin collector. Tamil Nadu Water Shed Development Agency executive director R Anandakumar replaces Venkatesh.
