TNCC chief Thirunavukkarasar calls on MMK leader Jawahirullah

CHENNAI: Newly installed Tamil Nadu Congress Committee chief S Thirunavukkarasar called on Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK) leader M H Jawahirullah at the latter’s office on Wednesday as part of his political diplomacy.
Though the visit to the MMK office was described as a courtesy call, the two leaders discussed the upcoming local body elections. Congress and MMK are part of the DMK alliance.
Thirunavukkarasar, who last week called on DMK chief M Karunanidhi and party treasurer M K Stalin, has also met CPM leaders as part of his outreach. He plans to call on CPI leaders on Thursday.
