CHENNAI: A teenager made a hoax bomb call to the Chennai city police on Sunday, threatening to hurl petrol bombs on DMK leader M K Stalin’s house here.
The Chennai city police control room received the call at 8pm on Sunday.
Police beefed up security at Stalin’s house. A police team led by the bomb detection and disposal squad conducted a thorough search at Stalin’s house.

Later, they declared it a hoax call.
Meanwhile, the police traced the caller. The hoax call was made by Bhuvanesh Kumar, 17, a native of Koonimedu near Villupuram. Bhuvanesh was suffering from learning difficulties and was under medication, they said.
The police sent him to the Institute of Mental Health here.
