Tamil Nadu polls: DMK allies criticize EPS for attack on Karunanidhi

CHENNAI: DMK allies joined chief minister M K Stalin in condemning AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami for his personal attacks on the late CM M Karunanidhi. EPS accused Stalin of keeping Karunanidhi under house arrest in his final days and Stalin responded by saying his father was like a lion and none could keep him under house arrest.MDMK general secretary Vaiko warned EPS that if such attacks continue, he will intensify his personal attacks on EPS. "It is an abominable and unjust attack on CM Stalin. He underwent various struggles in his political journey, including detention under MISA, and struggled to get a place to bury Kalaignar near the memorial of Anna ," he said. CPI state secretary M Veerapandian said, "EPS couldn't respond to Stalin's ideological remarks and hence resorted to personal attacks."tnn
