Sanitary workers come to Chennai from Tirupur
CHENNAI: 150 sanitary workers from Tirupur came to Chennai on Wednesday morning to aid in cleaning up garbage and sewage. These workers also brought their own equipment.
Only after finishing cyclone-caused sanitation work will they go back to the city.
Around 5,000 workers would be coming to Chennai from other districts like Madurai, Salem and Trichy, informed municipal administration secretary D Karthikeyan earlier this week.
