NEW DELHI: Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das has been admitted to a corporate hospital in Chennai after he experienced 'acidity', a source said on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the central bank told news agency Reuters that Das was admitted due to 'acidity' and there is no 'cause for concern'.
"He is now doing fine and will be discharged in the next 2-3 hours," spokesperson said in a statement.
He was being monitored, the source said without divulging details. There was no immediate official information from the hospital.
