He then went home and told his parents that he had been set free by officials of the home.
However, the boy's parents came to know through newspapers that he was among the 18 who escaped from the home. They advised him, took him to the juvenile home and handed him over to the officials. He was later admitted to the government observation home.
Earlier, another juvenile from Villivakkam was brought back by his parents to the home. "Special teams have been formed to pick up the other juveniles," a police officer said.
It may be recalled that 18 juveniles from the home had bent the iron grille of a window on the first floor, jumped over the sun-shade and then leapt to the ground. Later, they scaled the compound wall and fled.
