near Chennai has clocked the production of its 3.5 millionth powertrain units. Since engine production began in 2010, the plant has manufactured 2.3 million engines and 1.2 million gearboxed.
The Oragadam plant makes the HRA0 TURBO engine used in the Nissan Magnite, which is now exported to 15 countries.
Powertrain production kicked off with Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Limited (RNAIPL) rolling out one lakh engines in 14 months since production began and then went on to produce one million engines within six years. “The successful production of 3.5 million powertrain units at
