CHENNAI: To be in love and stay wise really became difficult for a 25-year-old who was arrested after attempting to pledge stolen gold jewellery at a pawnbroker shop at Sathyavedu in Andhra Pradesh to present his girlfriend with a gift on her birthday.
The police said Vinod Kumar, a resident of Madhanambedu village in Uthukottai.
The pawnbrokers had circulated a CCTV camera footage of Vinod stealing gold jewellery from the Uthukottai shop.

When he went to pledge the jewellery, the jeweller informed the police who arrested him. He was brought to Tamil Nadu and was detained by the Uthukottai police questioned him if he was involved in similar thefts earlier.
