Bus
and
airline
services were not disrupted in Chennai on Monday even as
Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa continued to be in a very critical condition at Apollo Hospitals after suffering a cardiac arrest on Sunday evening.
Airport sources said there was no disruption of flight services. Similarly, not many cases of ticket cancellation by passengers were reported.
“May be a couple of people could have cancelled their trip to Chennai, but not many cancellations from various domestic destinations,” said a senior Airports Authority of India officer.
The operation of bus services to various parts of the state continued normally. A State Express Transport Corporation official said there was no cancellation of any bus services from Chennai to other parts of the state.
However, fearing attack,
Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation suspended it services in Tamil Nadu.
