ERODE: TVK chief coordinator K A Sengottaiyan on Wednesday accused
AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami of being “inhumane” and of repeatedly “betraying” allies and party leaders.
Rejecting EPS’s allegation that Sengottaiyan had betrayed him, the former minister told reporters here that he had helped EPS become the chief minister and the general secretary of AIADMK. “Then how could he call me a betrayer,” he wondered.
Sengottaiyan said, “EPS removed Sasikala, whom he used to call Chinnamma, from the party. Likewise, he removed O Panneerselvam and T T V Dhinakaran from the party. He wanted BJP to remove K Annamalai from the party's state president post before striking an alliance for the 2024 general election. He kept changing his colours. Who is the betrayer?”
Sengottaiyan condemned EPS’s remark that there was no use in deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin being alive. “That was an inhumane remark,” Sengottaiyan said.
Sengottaiyan claimed that only the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam could defeat DMK. He said Vijay would win all 234 seats and become the next chief minister.
