Gauthami lodges police complaint

Chennai: Actor Gauthami Tadimalla has lodged a police complaint saying her acquaintance C Alagappan and his wife Nachal, both residing at Velachery, had misappropriated funds and properties worth 25 crore.Gauthami, who lives in ECR, said in her petition that her mother Dr T Vasundhara Devi had bought at least 46 acres in Sriperumbudur with her earnings from her films. “As my health deteriorated due to cancer in 2004, I gave my power of attorney to Alagappan to process the properties for sale,” Gauthami said. She said she noticed that the owner’s column showed Alagappan’s wife Nachal’s name too. “When I tried to get back my properties, Alagappan threatened me and my daughter,” she claimed.The petition has been forwarded to the cybercrime wing. tnn
