Gang throws bombs at two houses

Chennai: A gang of six men hurled country-made bombs at two houses when two youths refused to give money to two drunkards to buy booze on Wednesday at Sathur in Tiruvallur. Police said Shiva and Dheena from the locality were standing chatting, when two drunk men came asking for money to buy booze. Since they refused they picked up a fight and left the scene. In the evening, a gang of six men who came on two bikes hurled atleast five country-made bombs on the two houses which belonged to the youths and escaped. One of the family member who developed hearing trouble was admitted to Tiruvallur government hospital. Police launched a hunt for the gang.
