— TOI Kochi (@TOIKochiNews) 1606987111000Cyclone Burevi lay centered at 11.30am over Gulf of Mannar about 40km west-northwest of Mannar, 40km east-southeast of Pamban and 260km east-northeast of Kanniyakumari. It is likely to cross south Tamil Nadu coast between Pamban and Kanyakumari during December 3 night and December 4 morning.
The public works department on Thursday noon opened the shutters of the Chembarambakkam reservoir as the catchment areas received heavy rain since Wednesday night triggered by cyclone Burevi.
