CHENNAI: Gurgaon-based ice cream brand

Creambell

was launched in Tamil Nadu on Friday. The company makes

ice creams

ranging from Rs 5 to Rs 100 per scoop and has family packs across all price ranges.

"We are happy to announce our entry in Tamil Nadu and will focus on building a presence here. In the first phase, we hope to open 1,000 outlets and have pushcarts. For our go-to market route, we plan to connect through a shop in shop model. Later, we would open high-end parlours as well," said Nitin Arora, CEO, Creambell.

The company also looks to invest Rs 150 crore towards capturing a market in the state.

Creambell currently manufactures close to 50 million litres of ice cream per annum and looks to add 20 million litres to its capacity, with two new plants coming up. Nationally, the brand has 15% market share in the Rs 5,000 crore ice cream market.
