CHENNAI: The Madras high court on Monday quashed four cases registered against Sun Pictures COO Hansraj Saxena after the complainants sought to withdraw the complaints.
Passing orders, Justice T Sudanthiram said, "The complainants have stated in their affidavits that their differences pertaining to the business transactions and the problems between them have been settled.

The first information report shows that there was merely a financial transaction between the parties."
The complainants had accused Saxena of cheating them in film distribution deals. Rasu Madhuravan – in whose name a complaint was registered for the film ‘Muthukku Muthaga’ at Foreshore Estate police station – sought to withdrew his case claiming that he had neither asked the police to register a case against Saxena nor had they got his permission to register a case in his name.
Film producers Hitesh Jhabak, T D Raja and animation studio proprietor Arul Murthy filed separate petitions in the high court seeking to withdraw their complaints last week.
