Convicted minister Reddy’s wife seeks AIADMK ticket

, besides senior functionaries among others thronged AIADMK headquarters to file applications to contest in 18 assembly seats that will go to bypolls on April 18.


The party has already received applications from the aspirants for Tiruvarur seat. Jyothi filed application for Hosur seat represented by Reddy, who preferred an appeal against the lower court order. “I have done nothing wrong and repose faith in judiciary. My wife was a councillor in Hosur panchayat union for five years beginning 2006 and hold experience in public life,” Reddy told TOI. He said the electors of the constituency would like her to contest and thus the decision. “Anyway, it is upto the high command to decide on her application,” the former minister said.

Elsewhere, North Chennai (East) district secretary R S Rajesh filed papers for

Perambur

seat represented by P Vetrivel, the close associate of AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran. “The schemes of Amma will bring us victory and our government continues her legacy,” Rajesh said.
