CHENNAI: An Otteri resident found that one of his friends was having relationship with his estranged wife and the friend found his bike burned on Monday morning. On Tuesday morning, two youths who allegedly tipped off the woman’s husband found their bikes damaged by fire. The Otteri police are now looking for those responsible for burning the three bikes.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that Vimal, 35, a resident of Otteri, was married to Vinodhini, 24, and the couple have a son and a daughter. They later separated and Vinodhini moved into a house on Valluvan Street in the same locality.
Soon, Vimal found that his friend Bharath, 25, often visited Vinodhini’s house. On Sunday night, he was informed by Saravanan, 20 and Arun Kumar, 20, that Bharath’s bike was parked in front of her house. In the morning, Bharath came out of the woman’s house and was shocked to see his bike gutted. On Tuesday morning, the bikes of Saravanan and Arun Kumar, parked outside their houses, were found gutted. Based on the complaints of Bharath, Saravanan and Arun Kumar, the Otteri police registered separate cases and launched a hunt for the suspects.
