Woman stabbed to death at home, kin held

Yamunanagar: Police on Tuesday arrested a relative for the murder of a woman in Haryana's Yamunanagar district,The accused, Yograj, was the son of the elder brother-in-law of Monica (34), the victim, police said. A court remanded him to police custody. Police suspect the murder is linked to Monica's alleged ties with Yograj's friend, identified as Sachin. Yograj had introduced him to Monica and brought him to her house in Bambhol village on a few occasions, police said. On Saturday night, Monica was with her son when her mother-in-law heard her screams. She rushed in and found Yograj attacking Monika with a knife. He allegedly inflicted multiple stab wounds on her before fleeing by jumping off the roof. Police said he was nabbed later. MSID:: 128465178 413 |
