Woman claims her hair chopped off

CHANDIGARH: A 30-year-old woman claimed that her hair was chopped off while she was sleeping at her house in Ramdarbar, Phase 2, on Wednesday night.
“When I woke up around 7am and saw the mirror, I was shocked to see that my hair had been cut off,” Rekha Kumari said in her police complaint. On hearing her cries, her in-laws and husband rushed to her room.
When they reached there, Rekha fell unconscious. Her husband rushed her to GMCH-32. Sector 31 police station SHO Jaswinder Kaur reached the spot on receiving the information. The police recovered a pair of scissors from her room. “We are collecting the footages of CCTV cameras installed in nearby houses,” a cop said.A forensic team seized the chopped-off hair and collected fingerprint samples from Rekha’s room.
A complaint has been lodged. This is the second braid-chopping incident reported in city.
