Woman, 10-yr-old servant murdered

LUDHIANA: A woman and her ten-year-old servant were found murdered at her three-storied house in Shastri Nagar here on Thursday. Poonam (38) was last heard to have called her husband Naresh Malhotra, a foreign exchange dealer, at 10:15 am to report that a person Radhe Sham was here to do the floor polishing. Sources said that Naresh had told him that the floors were complete but he had insisted that some parts needed to be polished more.Poonam's brother Vijay said that her hands and feet were tied and her body was found lying on the floor of the bedroom. Sources said that Radhe Sham had worked on the third floor, where he probably killed ten-year-old Chottu. The incident came to light at about 4 pm after the children returned from school and found the house locked from inside. When they called up their father, he told them that Poonam might have gone to a nearby store to fetch some groceries or medicines. SP City I Harish Kumar said so far nothing had been noticed to have been stolen from the house. He said that the investigations were underway. A case has been registered under Section 302 of the IPC.
