Watchman found murdered

A watchman was found murdered inside an under-construction house in Sector 11, Panchkula, triggering panic in the area.

The deceased was identified as Dhan Bahadur, a native of Nepal, who was employed as a watchman at the site. Police said his body was discovered on the second floor of the building, with blood stains found nearby, indicating foul play.

During preliminary investigation, it emerged that the victim had a dispute with an associate, identified as Rakesh, a resident of Assam. Police suspect that the accused attacked Dhan Bahadur with a heavy object, possibly an iron rod or hammer, leading to his death on the spot.

After the incident, the accused allegedly fled the scene. Police have launched a search operation to trace and apprehend him.

Officials said further investigation is underway and all angles are being examined.
