Warring condemns blast outside BJP office

Chandigarh: Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring has strongly condemned the blast outside the Punjab BJP office in Chandigarh on Wednesday.

It is a matter of grave concern, he said, adding thankfully no loss of life had taken place.





At the same time, Warring noted, it reflected complete security and intelligence failure for which the onus lies on the Union home ministry.

If Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab, housing two governors and two chief ministers with so much security paraphernalia, is not safe, one can imagine the state of the rest of Punjab, he pointed out.

The Ludhiana MP hoped that the police would reach the bottom of the matter, look into all aspects and arrest the guilty at the earliest.

"We reaffirm and reiterate zero tolerance to any such incidents," he said.
