Jalandhar: A video of AAP member and Punjabi Singer Jassi Jasraj in which he asks newly-inducted members from rival outfits to swear upon God not to ditch the party has gone viral on Facebook.
Jasraj has posted the video on his Facebook page and it has gone viral, getting more than 1.05 lakh views in 22 hours. "Leaders are coming from Shiromani Akali Dal, Congress and BJP to AAP, apparently giving the impression that it is the best party and they want to serve the state.

If they are really coming to join the party only to serve people and Punjab, then they should first go to a gurdwara, temple or any other shrine they follow and take an oath in the presence of their families that in future they would not ditch AAP to return to SAD, Congress or any other party," he said in the video.
He warned party members to be weary of opportunists vying for a party ticket for Punjab elections. "When one of them would get the ticket, others would rebel. Such elements would damage the party," he said.
In a separate post, he has posted pictures of a leader recently inducted into AAP, who is seen in company of SAD and Congress leaders, and made an appeal to party leaders Sanjay Singh, Durgesh Pathak, Bhagwant Mann and Sucha Singh Chhotepur to save their organisation from opportunists.
However, in a bid to express his loyalty to the party, Jasraj praised AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal. While Jasraj's two posts have received a big response on social media, inquiries from within AAP revealed that old volunteers had a strong feeling that credentials of leaders from other parties should be thoroughly checked before inducting them.
