Two UP youths held with 754g opium in Hisar

Hisar: The Hisar police have arrested two youths from Uttar Pradesh with 754 grams of opium , officials said on Saturday. A case has been registered against the arrested under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway. According to a police spokesperson, the Barwala CIA team, led by in-charge Pradeep Kumar, had received a tip-off about two youths allegedly carrying opium in Phase 1 of New Cloth Market, Hisar. Acting swiftly, the team reached the spot and conducted a search following due procedure. During the search, 754 grams of opium was recovered from their possession. Both accused are currently being interrogated to ascertain the source and intended supply chain of the contraband, the police said.
