Twin murders rock Mohali

MOHALI: A 64-year-old woman and a migrant labourer were found murdered in the district. Kharar DSP Rupinderdeep Kaur said the body of 64-year-old Maya Devi missing since Thursday was found in a gutter in Morinda.
Police booked Gurdas Singh a resident of Kharar, his mother Krishna Devi, her sister Raj Dulari and Gurdas’s friend, Dinesh Singh of Santemajra on charges of killing Devi.According to police, Devi had lent Rs 2.5 lakh to Gurdas and Krishna Devi. When she went to get her money back, the accused allegedly kidnapped and killed her.
In the second incident, Mani Lal (35), a security guard, was murdered at a farmhouse in Kurali. The victim belonged to Bihar.
