Traffic awareness rally organized

MOHALI: In a bid to spread awareness regarding traffic rules, a rally was flagged off by SK Sharma IG (Training), Punjab, in the city on Tuesday, as a part of the ongoing traffic week.
Flagged off from Phase-VII traffic light points, the rally charted its course across the city with the members distributing pamphlets espousing the importance of following traffic rules.
Citing the increasing road accidents due to drivers negligence, Sharma, who was the chief guest for the day, emphasized on adhering to the regulations governing road behaviour.
Meanwhile, DSP traffic Raka Girra said they would continue with the work by organizing more such awareness camps in the district. We will also launch programmes to spread awareness among the auto and truck drivers, he added.
Mohali SSP Jatinder Singh Aulakh was also present on the occasion.
