Dharamshala: Two men from outside the state were found dead in Himachal Pradesh on Friday. While one was a tourist from Uttar Pradesh, the second man was a man from Haryana who was in possession of heroin at the time of his death.The tourist from Uttar Pradesh was found dead near the Bhagsunag waterfall in Dharamshala on Friday. According to police, the deceased was identified as 33-year-old Rahul, a resident of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The police said the deceased had come to Dharamshala with friends on a trip and had gone trekking to Triund. One of his friends told the police that he suddenly fell ill while returning. It is suspected that the man died of a heart attack.

A forest guard on Thursday informed the cops at the McLeodganj police station about a person lying unconscious near the waterfall. Upon receiving the information, a team from McLeodganj police station reached the site and took the victim to the hospital, where doctors, upon examination, found him dead.Rampur Police in Shimla district recovered the body of a 34-year-old Haryana resident near the Satluj River, close to Bhagwati Hotel, on Thursday.
The deceased, identified as Sandeep Kumar from Jakholi village in Kaithal district of Haryana, was found lying on the ground with three mobile phones and around 22.26 grams of heroin concealed in his socks. Police had received a tip-off on Thursday about an unconscious man near the river. CCTV footage showed Kumar walking towards the river before slipping. Preliminary investigations suggest he was not under the influence of drugs, and may have intended to sell the narcotics locally. Records indicate Kumar had seven criminal cases in Haryana, including theft, murder, and Arms Act violations, and was on a 70-day parole from January to March. His body was sent for post-mortem, and the family was notified. Further investigation is underway.
