Times Litfest preview comes to Chandigarh tomorrow
CHANDIGARH: It is time for a literary treat for Tricity residents, with a preview of the Times Litfest to be organised at hotel JW Marriott, Sector 35, on Friday.
Residents will be able to meet their favourite authors and get a glimpse of the stories that gave birth to the ones they have read and loved. There will be sessions on different themes.
In the session, “A Soldier, A Gentleman… And A Politician”, Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh will be in conversation with journalist Indrani Bagchi. From administering the state to writing books, Amarinder will share different aspects of his life.
In the session, “Riddle of Desire”, renowned author and commentator Gurcharan Das and Anand Neelakantan, the author of the Bahubali trilogy, will talk about love and desire in mythology. In the session, “Poetry Across Borders”, award-winning writer, critic and literary historian Rakhshanda Jalil and Vijai Vardhan, a historian who is presently posted as additional chief secretary, department of tourism, Haryana, Chandigarh, will talk about blurring the borders with musings and recitations.
