DHARAMSHALA The Tibetan exile government and central Tibetan administration greeted the people of India on the 70th Independence Day at a brief ceremony held at their secretariat.

Officiating PM, Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok, of department of religion and culture hoisted the Indian national flag at an event attended by members of cabinet, secretaries and senior officials of all departments. "On this special occasion, I would like to convey my hearty greetings and good wishes to all the people of India, especially to the people of Himachal Pradesh, on behalf of the administration and the Tibetan people," the minister said.

"We are extremely grateful to the Indian government and the Indian people for their continued support, understanding and cooperation on the Tibetan issue." tnn
