Suspension plea by Abhay: Notice to secy

Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana high court on Thursday issued notice to the Haryana legislative assembly speaker, seeking his response on the plea filed by senior INLD leader and Ellenabad MLA Abhay Singh Chautala against his suspension from the House for two days.
In his plea, Abhay has contended that the speaker neither followed the procedure of bringing motion regarding a member’s suspension from the House nor acted in accordance with the Rules of Procedures and Conduct of Business in the Haryana legislative assembly as a motion to suspend the petitioner was not brought in the House.tnn
