State reshuffles 31 bureaucrats

Chandigarh: The Punjab government on Wednesday reshuffled 31 officers – 14 IAS and 17 PCS – after getting approval from the Punjab governor.
The government assigned the 2000 batch IAS officer, Kumar Rahul, to the post of secretary, jails, while 2003 batch officer Kamal Kishor Yadav has been given the charge of secretary, school education, in addition to the responsibility of chief executive officer of the Punjab bureau of investment promotion.
Arshdeep Singh Thind, a 2004 batch officer, has been given the charge of taxation commissioner, replacing KK Yadav. Shruti Singh has been given the charge of secretary, personnel, and in addition to secretary, general administration, while the 2006 batch officer, Ravi Bhagat, who is special principal secretary to the chief minister, has been entrusted with the additional duty of secretary, rural development board.
