Sports persons, politicians join AAP Punjab
CHANDIGARH: Parminder Kaur, former chairperson, Punjab Women Commission and former general secretary All India Mahila Congress joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday. Kaur also served as vice president, All India Mahila Congress and remained incharge of Maharashtra and Goa.
Others who joined the party included Hardeep Grewal, an International hockey player, who participated in Olympic Games in 1984 held at Los Angles, Asian Games in 1986 held at Seol and World Cup in 1986 held at London, Jagdeep Gill, an international hockey player who was awarded with Maharaja Ranjit Singh award by Punjab Government.

He participated in 9th Asian Games in 1982.
Advocate Narinder Singh Tiwana, former chairman market committee, Sirhind also joined AAP. He also remained president Disst. Bar Association Fathegarh Sahib. Jarnail Singh Aulakh is a former member of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. He also contested vidhan Sabha elections in 2012 from Ropar as an independent candidate. AAP Punjab in-charge, Sanjay Singh, Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur, national Spokesperson, Aashish Khetan, MP Bhagwant Mann and other party leaders welcomed the new members.
