Sonipat police conduct advanced weapons, soft skills training
Sonipat: In a bid to enhance operational efficiency, the Sonipat Police on Sunday conducted a high-level training programme on advanced weapons handling and soft skills at the Police Lines. The training was conducted in two sessions, with 50 police personnel participating in each. In total, 100 officers and personnel were trained through a combination of theoretical inputs and hands-on exercises. During the programme, participants received intensive training in handling modern firearms, including self-loading rifles (SLR), INSAS rifles and carbines. Expert instructors provided detailed insights into the technical aspects, structural components and safe usage of these weapons. The training placed special emphasis on practical drills, including safe dismantling and reassembly of weapons, scientific methods of maintenance and cleaning, and effective response techniques during emergency situations. Officials stated that such initiatives not only boost the confidence of personnel but also enhance their ability to deal with evolving security challenges. Police spokesperson ASI Ravindra Singh said that such training programmes are playing a key role in continuously improving the professional standards of the police force and in ensuring public safety.
