Sikh religious procession in NZ confronted by protestors
Jalandhar: A Sikh Nagar Kirtan (religious procession) in Manurewa, a suburb in South Auckland, New Zealand, was confronted by a group of protestors linked to 'Apostle Bishop' Brian Tamaki, who heads the Pentecostal organisation, the Destiny Church. The standoff continued for sometime, and there was no direct confrontation. After they came face-to-face, police stood between the two sides. The video footage, posted by Tamaka on his Facebook, showed that the protestors raised slogans "One True God", "Jesus-Jesus", while the participants in the Sikh procession watched without any reaction. "Right now in Manurewa, it's shut down for hours for a Sikh religious parade. Roads closed. Locals disrupted. Businesses affected. Families stuck. And the most confronting part? Men openly carrying swords and daggers on public streets. Kiwis are left asking a fair question: Since when is it acceptable to parade bladed weapons on our streets? That is not normal in New Zealand. That is not the Kiwi way of life," he posted on his Facebook while posting a video of the standoff.
"True Patriots stood their ground in South Auckland. No violence. No riots. Just my young men performing a haka, face-to-face, to send a clear message: keep NZ, NZ.""The haka is not hate. It's a line in the sand. It's a challenge. New Zealand is a Christian nation! Our God is Jesus Christ. One nation. One people. One law. One vote. One flag, under one God. Kiwis will not be silent while foreign religions flood in. We will stand, peacefully, proudly, unapologetically, for our land, for our faith, and our Kiwi way of life," he said. In a December 17 post, while stating that mass immigration without assimilation was equal to invasion, he specifically mentioned turbans a couple of times and then also wrote on his FB, "I see turbans everywhere.""Why are terrorist Khalistan flags being flown on Auckland streets? Let's be clear: Khalistan is a terrorist organisation, not just a Sikh religion. President Modi from India officially designates Khalistan-linked groups as terrorist organisations in India. So here's the question every Kiwi should be asking: Since when did New Zealand allow foreign terrorist movements to parade openly on our streets? If this were any other overseas cause linked to terrorism, the response would be immediate. Instead, silence. One nation. One people. One law. One vote. One flag. Under one God. New Zealand is not a playground for overseas terrorist movements," he posted."Multiculturalism is a failed experiment. And multiculturalism should never mean losing our common sense or erasing the Kiwi way of life," he said, and also announced, "More action to come." MSID: 126094691 413 |
