CHANDIGARH: Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu was not included in the list of star campaigners of the party for the Uttarakhand assembly elections released on Wednesday.
The move came on a day Sidhu flew to Mata Vaishno Devi to pay obeisance and a day after SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia announced to solely contest against him bitter rival.
Just two days ago, he had started door-to-door campaigning in the constituency. Sidhu tweeted: “On my way to Mata Vaishno Devi… The eternal grace of the divine mother has always protected me on this path of Dharma… At her lotus feet for blessings… Dushtaan da vinaash kr,

During the day, the party released a list of 30 star campaigners, who included Congress president
Sonia Gandhi,
Rahul Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and
Priyanka Gandhi.
He also uploaded a video of devotees taking selfies with him. Reacting to his pilgrimage, Majithia said, “It’s good, everyone goes there, but only those who worship get blessings and not those who are arrogant.”
