CHANDIGARH: Beating the heat and ignoring health issues, senior citizens came out to vote with enthusiasm on Sunday in all the 13 parliamentary constituencies in Punjab.
Sajjan Singh (92), who was accompanied by his family members, said he has not missed voting for the last four decades. "I have always tried to pick the best candidate, who could look after our development issues and work for the betterment of society.

I am not well but despite that I came to vote," said Sajjan Singh, resident of Sunet village of Ludhiana district.

Mangat Ram, 85, and his wife Maya Devi, 79, came together to the polling booth in DAV School Kartarpur. "We did not want to miss voting and are feeling happy after casting our votes," said Maya Devi.
