CHANDIGARH: In a significant crackdown, the Chandigarh administration on Tuesday sealed the popular Sago Club in Sector 26, citing violations of sanctioned building plans and construction norms.
The upscale venue is reportedly associated with renowned rapper Badshah.
A joint team from the Estate Office's Building Branch and Enforcement Wing carried out the operation after inspections revealed several deviations from the approved plan.
Officials said the club operators had received multiple notices to rectify the irregularities but failed to do so within the stipulated deadline.
In a separate action on the same day, authorities also sealed Showroom No. 9 in Sector 17 for similar violations of building regulations.
