Amritsar: The youth wing of recently elected Sangrur MP Simranjit Singh Mann’s party, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), has asked the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to immediately remove the photograph of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh from the Central Sikh Museum (CSM).
In a memorandum to SGPC president Harjinder SIngh Dhami, Youth SAD (Amritsar) patron Iman Singh Mann claimed that in one letter, Bhagat Singh had admitted to being an atheist and yet his photo was displayed in the museum, which was akin to promoting idolatry.
