Shimla: Shimla Police have arrested the alleged kingpin of a heroin supply network and uncovered transactions worth Rs 1.25 crore linked to the racket over the past three months.
The arrest stems from an FIR registered at Boileauganj police station following the seizure of about seven grams of heroin from Avinash Chauhan in April. An investigation led to the arrest of two Bihar-based suspects, Vishal Yadav and Jai Prakash Yadav.
Police said the supply chain was traced to Ravi Ahirwar (21) of Faridabad, who was arrested during the investigation.
According to investigators, Ahirwar had been supplying heroin consignments to Himachal Pradesh since 2025, concealing the contraband in milk and Kurkure packets and using hidden drop points near ISBT Tutikandi in Shimla.
Digital evidence recovered during the probe revealed transactions worth nearly Rs 1.25 crore within the network over the past three months, police said.
Shimla police said it had recovered 2 kg heroin so far this year, arrested 48 persons through backward-linkage investigations and dismantled 37 drug supply networks.
